Kudos to the Giller Prize committee for selecting Washington Black as the 2018 winner. This is the second Giller prize Edugyan has won, a feat only matched by two other writers, M.G. Vassanji and Alice Munro.  The story is about George Washington “Wash” Black who escapes slavery and makes his way to Nova Scotia. The book received rave reviews from the New Yorker and the New York Times Book Review and is for sale at both of our stores!
