Donation to Butterfly and Chinese Canadian National Council for Social Justice

This month, Drawn & Quarterly has donated $500 to the Butterfly, the Asian and migrant sex workers support network, and $500 to the Chinese Canadian National Council For Social Justice.

We have signed on to Butterfly’s Declaration of Support calling for Justice for Migrant Sex Workers. We encourage you to add your support and to read more about Butterfly’s 8CallsforJustice, affirming that #SexWorkIsWork.

The Chinese Canadian National Council for Social Justice has prepared videos, reports, and other educational materials that help students learn how to fight racism in Canada as well as testimonials of the racist aggression Asian-Canadians have had to face during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Asian Americans Advancing Justice and Hollaback! are offering virtual bystander intervention training sessions for free. There are a number of sessions open in the next month, as well as more advanced training on conflict de-escalation and a course on how to handle harassment for those experiencing anti-Asian hate.
