Justice for Joyce Echaquan
September 30, 2020
D+Q has donated $1000 to the GoFundMe fundraiser for the seven children of Joyce Echaquan who was killed at the hands of her caregivers at a hospital in Joliette Quebec, and spent her last moments recording slurs directed to her by two nurses.
Today is the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation and it is clear we all need to do more toward changing the system. We encourage everyone to do what you can: donate; march this Saturday; read the action plan put forth by the Assembly of First Nations Quebec-Labrador; and call on Quebec's Indigenous Affairs Minister for action.
