On May 20th, Blue Met have released six literary walking tours in the form of podcasts. The tours are a writer's take on the history and present day of various neighborhoods and cultural communities in Montreal. We think you will love the podcasts and the walking tours!
Today we’re featuring :
Tensions + Intersections: un Circuit déambulatoire littéraire du Village gai | A Gay Village Walking Tour
“It’s because the people in this neighbourhood have a certain dignity that I’m inviting you to celebrate the tensions and intersections of the Village,” writes Nicholas Dawson. “It’s because we are dignified that everything starts here, smack dab in the middle of a noisy and inhospitable street.”
With poetic, documentarian texts in podcast form, Nicholas Dawson and authors Marie-Claude Garneau, Jean-Paul Daoust, Eli Tareq El Bechelany-Lynch and Kama La Mackerel present a literary walking tour that illuminates the different tensions intersecting one another in Montreal’s Gay Village.
We’ll be giving away books in conjunction with Blue Met over the next few weeks to celebrate these walking tours. The first giveaway is open now on our Instagram page! Stay tuned to our social media for more giveaways!
