Canada Reads 2021!
March 9, 2021
The debates kick off this week. We're huge fans of the 2021 shortlist for Canada Reads!
Although we may have loved to see a the first ever graphic novel nominated to make the short list (we may be slightly biased in this regard), we adore the 5 books that were selected!
The finalists feature Joshua Whitehead's 2018 Jonny Appleseed, a longstanding bestselling novel that we've loved and discussed over the years, two debut novels in Francesca Ekwuyasi's 2020 Butter Honey Pig Bread—which has become a runaway bestseller in our store!—and Hench by Nathalie Zina Walschots (2020), The Midnight Bargain, a novel by award winning Fantasy novelist C.L. Polk, as well as the prize winning memoir Two Trees Make a Forest by Jessica L. Lee.
All five books are available from our online store, simply click through the links above! We ship Canada wide, deliver in Tiohtiá:ke / Montreal by bike, and offer prepaid pickup at the store, as well as limited, socially distanced in person browsing!
Thank you so much for your support.
Happy reading!
